A Glimpse
(...about the concerns that underlie what I do)

Designing and developing services is at the core of my work. I am involved in business organization projects, governmental agencies, and social and political organizations. I have done this out of a design tradition that combines economics, phenomenology, cognitive biology, and information technology.

Currently I am interested in exploring how internet-supported digital worlds interplay with our traditional analog experience, increasing dramatically our capacity to design services in areas traditionally stagnated, such as health, education, or finances, or, from a different perspective, the services delivered by political institutions and politicians.

Open Source software development, Creative Commons Public Licensing, Web 2.0 services, among many other forces, are nurturing and enhancing the power of networks in unthinkable magnitudes. This is a wonderful opportunity for more vibrant communities and more sustainable businesses. Contributing and learning from those initiatives and project are the purposes of my blogs.
