Elevator Speech

To sell a sustainable Service Design project in 2011 demands new standards... they go like this... "I promise to increase your sales many tens of percentage points... and cut your costs a few tens of percentage points... but I don't want you to get nervous, so I'll do it based on a low risk, phased investment program... you'll have spectacular results in 12 weeks...you'll recover your investment in one year... you'll get over a 100% return on investment in 18 months... Yes, we sell low-risk, immediate-return, sustainable, self-replicating innovation in services." There are three guys in UK refining this model -- Billy Glennon, Charles Spinosa, and Shirish Hardikar -- and they have succeeded in a variety of financial services... thanks to them I've had a lot of fun, delivered great projects and engaged with a lovely culture... indeed!! So, I'll use these experiences to post a bit.

Exploration

I'm a fan of Wikispaces, so I'll continue my intentions to explore wikis to evolve interesting collaborative conversations... I think that boundaries are the foundation for order, and also an invitation for transgression, both!!... too much of the first brings deterioration and oil wars, too much of the second brings chaos and irrelevant marginalization... and the wikis allow me to share with friends to grasp the pendulum's momentum. So, let's keep ourselves alive, connected with the unfolding commons, and playing with the Matrix.

The Moment

Republic Lost, Lawrence Lessig. A picture of problematic dependencies in contemporary free market democratic regimes. Happy 2012!!
